A time to paint, create,

and socialize with fellow artists.

Meetings held at:
First United Methodist Church
118 W. Jackson St.   *   Morris, IL 60450

Morris Watercolor Guild welcomes anyone interested in the art of watercolors.  Whether you are a novice, an accomplished artist, or just want to paint for your own enjoyment, all experience levels are welcome.

We hold open painting sessions at the First United Methodist Church in Morris on most Friday afternoons from 1 - 4 p.m.  It's a time to work on a painting, sketch, socialize, as well as to receive/give ideas on artwork in a friendly environment.

Morris Watercolor Guild offers watercolor classes and workshops for both beginners and more advanced painters.  Occasionally, we offer workshops in other mediums in which there is an interest.

Our members have opportunities to exhibit their work.  We hold a Spring Watercolor Show at the Morris Library.  In the fall, we hold a show in conjuction with the Methodist Church Turkey Supper.

We co-sponsor the Grundy County Corn Festival Art Show.  New this year, we held an art show and demonstration during Nostalgia Days in downtown Morris.  We also have a gallery wall in the basement of the First United Methodist Church where we are allowed to display our work throughout the year.
